Lobster Macaroni & Cheese??

Macaroni and cheese is a common comfort food in America. However, the shocking reality is that the food isn’t even an American food. It is a meal that originated in England as something of a casserole dish. After it was created, this food was featured in cookbooks from the medieval era, and found in older English cookbooks.  Although, the food that is covered by this recipe is a mere modification of the meal based on a person’s taste. After tracing the roots of the meal, it was revealed that Thomas Jefferson, “came across the food in Italy and Paris” leading to its expansion to North America. (Wikipedia)

It took only one country to create the common dish but it is a staple in many countries now as a side dish or main dish. In the modern world, it is an extremely popular dish for two reasons primarily. Firstly, the dish is extremely easy to make and a fast meal. Due to these reasons, people are really likely to use this meal to efficiently and effectively fill their children’s stomachs or just grab a small bite.

Something really interesting about this dish is that it can be modified to match any taste as seen in the recipe being discussed in this post. Fish, rather seafood in general is something that is commonly placed with pasta. However, the pasta is normally some form of an Alfredo or buttery dish and not something based on cheese. Yet, with this dish, it is something that is just completely out of the norm and this is why this recipe stands out. It just makes me acknowledge this dish so much more especially since it is something so simple, yet it can be crafted to become something so complex and creative.
